What We’re Doing

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – As protests calling for change in Cuba continue to occur throughout South Florida, especially in Miami-Dade County, the Cuban government has made an unprecedented announcement to allow donations of humanitarian aid to the island.

The communist nation announced that now all plane passengers will be allowed to bring unlimited supplies of food, medicine, and hygiene products to the country between now and the end of the year and shipping is available, directly to individuals and families. This change comes nearly three weeks after unprecedented protests broke out nationwide, spurred by frustrations with dire economic conditions and curbs on civil freedoms.

Libertarios Hispanos is committed to getting critical items into the hands of the Cubas that are suffering and have no one else to turn to. The project’s co-founder, Martha Bueno, is launching a donation and supply drive to help coordinate efforts now that more options are available to transport goods. You can help by “Adopting a Family” in need. Please meet our famlilies and consider donating to help get critical supplies to those with specific needs. Your donation will help cover the costs of goods, shipping, and transportation.
